Dr. Karl Niklas is a Liberty Hyde Bailey Professor emeritus in the School of Integrative Plant Science at Cornell University, a former curator at New York Botanical Garden, former president of the Botanical Society of America, former Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Botany, and author of five major books including Plant Evolution and Plant Physics

Dr. Jed Sparks is the director of Cornell University Stable Isotope Laboratory (COIL) and department chair/ professor in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Cornell University.
